Tarmetec is a decathlete of the metal industry. We currently have available most of the technologies used for preparing metal products on location in our Tartu plant. We also have a network of cooperation partners who can assist us if we are not capable of making a component or performing an operation as well, as in the case of capacity limitations.

02 Our values
- We want to offer clients ready-made solutionsOur philosophy is that the client must receive, from us, a functional solution. We have therefore gathered into our company very broad competencies for preparing products for which the chief material is metal. Today only a few products consist of iron alone. We also need to know the world of synthetic materials, electricity, compressed air and hydraulics. We will inform the client immediately should we realise that in order to fulfil the client’s wishes we need to outsource more than what we can produce on our own, and if possible advise the client to contact a more appropriate cooperation partner.
- It is also necessary to grow potatoesMetec has developed its skills over the long term such that the company is capable of producing complex products with a high level of precision and quality that are ready for final use. The strategy has required heavy investments into human resources, technology, and process management, making us over-qualified for producing simpler components or products. We will not, however, force a client to seek a solution from elsewhere if the client needs the buttons for the suit or in other words, simpler components in addition to the base product – we will definitely make them ourselves.
- We are trustworthyFor over 25 years Metec has been active on the international market. During the given time, numerous situations have arisen where it has been difficult to estimate the costs required in order to fulfil the client’s contract and we have had greater expenditures of time as well as financial means than we had initially anticipated. Causes for the extra expense include sharp increases in the cost of raw materials, shortage of workers as well as longer and more expensive periods of product development. We will never use the mentioned risks as an excuse for withdrawing from a contract which we have signed with the client. We have established in the company many risk management programmes which help prevent problems arising from different unexpected hindrances and reduce the financial losses they cause.
